Magenta Jeans - Style # 1

Hello Everyone,
This past weekend I paid a visit to Target hoping I would snatch a piece or two from Jason Wu's collection. I had some luck but that is coming in another post. As expected, I left the store with two more items I did not plan to buy - a pair of magenta jeans and a mustard skinny belt. The jeans are made of thin denim fabric with whiskers at the front. Although I prefer heavier denim because it provides a better coverage for those leg dimples, I like this pair as well. The brand is Mossimo - another Target - designer collaboration but on more permanent basis. For now, I think I am getting good value for my money.

Today I am also starting my work out routine with my hubby. I am so excited as I finally convinced him to JOIN the gym and he had to convince me to GO to the gym and use the membership I already have. When I go to the gym, I want to know how much for how long I need to do each exercise.I don't want to have to think about it because I end up watching TV or other people and I look surprised when after 30 days of work out I see no results. I am doing the third routine on this link:

I will keep you posted on my progress. Maybe I will even show before and after pictures if successful :)

I hope you had the chance to enter my GIVEAWAY. If not, you can find more information at the end of the post. Good Luck and till then, style it up!

Tall knee-high boots with knee-high socks - Style #3

Hello my dear beauties,
This is another look featuring tall knee-high boots and knee-high socks. This style reminds me a little bit of Liv Taylor in 1995 movie Empire Records. Most of you have probably not heard of it because you were still playing with your Barbies at that time :)

I love this sweater from Free People but I wonder about the quality of the cotton. It has stretched significantly after one wear and I am noticing little tears. I have also learned that the best way to treat your sweater is to hand wash it with gentle detergent without twisting it and laying it flat to dry. Most of you know that already but not myself as I have been dry cleaning my sweaters and it is not the best solution.

I hope you had the chance to enter my GIVEAWAY. If not, you can find more information at the end of the post. Good Luck and till then, style it up!

Leopard skirt - Style #3

Hello my ladies,

Happy Thursday! As you may have already noticed, I try to style any new additions to my closet 3-ways.  Very often, it is not a challenge at all. However, there are some items that are not so easy to style and we just end up wearing them one time or in the same fashion over and over. These pieces end up in the back of our closet, unloved and uncared for. Now I make a conscious effort to style a piece at least 3-ways. And of course I have two ulterior reasons to do that as well - to justify the cost to my hubby and to have more outfits for my blog :).

The leopard skirt from ASOS is made of polyester and although some may question its quality, it feels and looks quality to me. The material is used by ASOS for a lot of the items in their ASOS collection. It is perfect for pencil fit skirts and dresses due to the elastane in the material.

I hope you had the chance to enter my GIVAWAY. If not, you can find more information at the end of the post. Good Luck and till then, style it up!

MY FIRST GIVEAWAY

Hello there,

I thought you might be upset that it is the end of the weekend so I decided to do a little giveaway to bring the spirits up. This giveaway celebrates my 100th post. It might seem like a small achievement to some but the experiences along the way are a great achievement and make it all worth it. Here is why I love blogging:

1) It gives me a way to spend more time with my hubby who takes my pictures while doing something different than watching TV

2) It has brought my style forward and out of the shell. It (my style) was really sheltered in an attempt to meet social acceptance

3) Taught me how to buy more with less

4) Led me to meet and communicate with some magnificent and engaging people

5) It is always a good topic to talk about with strangers when awkward silence is present

And of course there is a lot more and the support of my readers is the live juice of this blog. So here is one big:

THANK YOU!

Without further ado, here are the RULES of the giveaway:

1) Follow Teodora's Lookbook through GFC. If you don't have a GFC account, you can follow through Bloglovin.
2) Leave a comment below mentioning your favorite item (they all go to the winner) and your email!
3) Open to current followers by leaving a comment
4) Open to US and international readers

The winner will be announced on February 14th. Good Luck!

PENCIL HEEL

Hello lovely ladies,

I am so happy that pencil stilettos have returned. I love clothes, shoes and accessories that flatter woman's femininity and shape and I believe that pencil heels do that more than any other type of shoe. I am so happy that ALDO came with their version, called Westberry, in black and red suede. They are 5.25 inches high but without the platform they are about 4 inches. Although they are the most expensive pair of shoes I own, they are still affordable compared to Calvin Klein, Christian Louboutin, and Giuseppe Zanotti.  I can't wait to share the rest of the outfit with you. Till next time, style it up

xoxo,

Teodora

Playing the blues (again)

Hello my dear ladies and one gent,

I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I spent it with my hubby, of course, and we spent some time picking out my first GIVEAWAY which will be celebrating the 100th post. It is going to be a fashionista feast so keep your laptops open:)

I spent a good time figuring out how to style this blue sheath dress because 1) I had no idea what goes with this color and 2) there were no great ideas online either. I tried to figure out what exact shade of blue it is and I believe it is called Cobalt blue. If you have a more fashionable name, please share. I don't think it is a trend color for 2012 but I don't really follow color trends. If the color makes me happy, I wear it. The only reason I follow color trends is to discover new colors as it seems they come up with new lovely colors every season.

So in terms of styling, I decided to use another bright color to balance out the overflow of blue. In addition, I thought the dress is too office-like, so I decided to add this hip jacket to make it more casual.
I am curious to know how you would pair this beautiful cobalt blue dress. Till next time, style it up.

xoxo,

Teodora

Blue Dangles

Bonjour My Beauties,

I would like to share with you my experience from the 4th Blue Dangles Boutique anniversary party. If I have to use two words to describe its style, they will be "fashion forward". It comes to no surprise, as the boutique, led by Tracey Gruber, works with thousands of designers from all over the world. Despite the vast selection of clothing, I was most impressed by the uniqueness of their jewelry. If you like their designs, you can find more on www.bluedangles.com.

xoxo,
Teodora

Miss you

Accessorizing a silk scarf this way has turned into a habit for me. It was Sydney from The Daybook and then Kendy from Kendy Everyday who introduced me to it. Thank you very much, ladies. It is a great way to make an outfit more fun by adding color and texture. At the same time, it makes an outfit more conservative if more coverage is needed for the work place:)

Scarf - Enrico Coveri
Dress - no brand from Bulgaria

Like a Kid in a Candy Store

A week ago I had the ultimate pleasure to go to a summer sale of all major Atlanta boutiques under one roof (Boutique Bargains Atlanta Clearance Sale). I was grinning like a kid in a candy store for the whole 3 hours.  What made it even better is that I had two very good friends mine with passion for fashion matching mine.

What do you think? Did I make a good choice? Any ideas for styling? Does any of this pieces fire up your fashion sense?

xoxo
