Wish List: Twenty-first century riding "habit"

I love equestrian inspired fashion because it is both romantic and masculine at the same time. It is romantic, because it reminds me of English country, green pastures, castles, and beautiful Arabian horses. At the same time, the masculine style of the jacket and the boots would give me confidence that I would usually not have when wearing flowery summer dress. I realize that there isn't so much glamor in equestrian life, but who says we cannot bring some equestrian style in our glamorous life.  Here is a collage of some of my wish list items as most of them are out of my $$$ range. My reality collage coming soon.

Something Different

I am so excited about my friend's upcoming wedding. This past Saturday we had a great time looking at potential dressses for the bride and the bridesmaids. Nadia is from Bangladesh so I got a quick tutorial on sarees styles and fabrics. The most common fabrics for sarees are chiffon, silk, georgette, crepe and cotton. She is looking for a white or off-white design intricate with light embroidered borders and crystal beaded work. I wish I had more occasions to wear sarees.

Teodora's Lookbook: Salute to Military Chic

Bonjour,

Here is my realistic representation of the "Aviator Chic" collage I shared with you a couple of posts ago. The aviator jacket is still in the works but maybe I can save enough for next year. I know it shouldn't matter if I like it, but do you think it will still be in style next winter?

Most of the pieces in this outfit are from different brands but they were purchased from Fab'rik.

Cadet Jacket - Costa Blanca
Skinny Cargo Pants - BlankNYC
Shoes - Guess, Owens Ankle Boots from Off Broadway Shoes
Aviator Sunglasses - Armani
