I don't have many memories of where I have been on a particular date and time but it seems like I will never forget where I was when I saw the video of the first plane crashing in the tower. I just arrived to my college job when I heard the TV was on. It was not typical so it got my attention. Watching the report felt surreal - my initial instinct was to start crying for all the people that were in those buildings and planes. My second instinct was to call my parents in Bulgaria but all the phones were down. Not being able to reach anyone made the feeling so much more intense. I can't imagine what the families of those who lost someone went and are going through but my prayers are with them.
Living in the states for more than ten years, I have to say it has been easy for me to feel like a part of this great nation. I don't know of many cultures that are so welcoming of outsiders and at the same time so united ahead of challenges. God Bless America!

Beautiful pictures and a beautiful post, i remember it was early in the morning and i was driving to work, i heard on the radio, and everything changed that day.
- PS: Pics of Spain are online ;)
I remember that day. I was in school and my classmates dad was in Pentagon, so we was comforting him. I remember when I came home after school I felt that in this life is everything possible, we're so vulnerable and that war is on our doorstep. I just didn't know how it will express itself. I was so happy to have call from classmate that with his dad everything is ok. All evening I was watching news and just like You darling I didnt know should I cry or try to hold myself. I wish that it wouldn't happen, but perhaps it will save many more lifes, because we will be more ready. I pray for all those families. God Bless America!
I remember being at work just stunned watching the news clips on my computer after a coworker informed me that a plane had hit the first tower.
At first, like many others we thought it was a horrible mistake or accident, not intentional.
The entire world has been impacted one way or another by 9/11.
Our prayers are with the families and souls of those lost on this tragic day. We will never forget.
God Bless America!

I'd say, best blog post of the week. I do remember on that day I was sitting at home and turning on the tv, almost every single channel was broadcasting live on the attack. It was horrifying. The people who sacrificed and innocent lives will always be on our heart.
