Blue Dangles
Bonjour My Beauties,
I would like to share with you my experience from the 4th Blue Dangles Boutique anniversary party. If I have to use two words to describe its style, they will be "fashion forward". It comes to no surprise, as the boutique, led by Tracey Gruber, works with thousands of designers from all over the world. Despite the vast selection of clothing, I was most impressed by the uniqueness of their jewelry. If you like their designs, you can find more on www.bluedangles.com.

Jeffrey Fashion Cares Part 2: The Show
Hello my dear followers!
I am so sorry for the short absence - it seems like it is a busy season for everyone. As promised, here are the pictures from the "Jeffrey Fashion Cares" fashion benefit with honor guest Jason Wu. It is amazing that it was only 5 years ago when he had his first ready-to-wear collection. Jason Wu was also the designer of the white ballgown worn by Michelle Obama to the presidential inauguration.
"Sophisticated Elegance" are two words that he uses to describe his style and I could not agree more. However, his Fall'11 collections was specifically inspired by photographer Robert Polidori and his photo book on the 25 year long restoration of Versailles. Wu wanted to represent both the austere background and opulent decor of Versailles during that time. The austere shape and limited colors of his creations were contrasted against the opulence of Swarovski crystals, burned out features and elaborated lace. Here are some of my favorite pieces.

A great end of the week
I am finally realizing that weekends should be "me" time (not work time). I had a great time with my hubby at Callaway Gardens. On Saturday, I got my weekly inspiration and motivation from the Toastmasters conference at the Gardens. If you have never heard of Toastmasters, you should check it out - one of the best decisions in my life.
xoxo, Teodora

The Sartorialist
Last night I had the great pleasure to meet Scott Schuman, the creative force behind The Sartorialist. Scott was a guest speaker at the Savannah College of Arts and Design. His speech was both inspiring and informative. There many points I would like to share with you from his lecture but there are a couple of them that really stuck with me - that is branding yourself and being self-aware. Both points deal with finding what you are best at (or not), what comes natural to you (or not), what you are all about (or not) and use that to brand and differentiate yourself. As probably many of you, I am still in search of what I do best.
Did you have to go through that process and find yourself? What did you do? How did you do it?
xoxo,
Teodora

LADY GAGA
I had so much fun during Lady Gaga's concert on Monday in Atlanta. She puts on an amazing 3-hour non-stop show full of outlandish outfits and incomprehensible but fun monologues. I love dancing, so I really enjoy her music but her messages are not always clear to me :)
We could not bring cameras in so I did not try but I should have - I would have had so much more food for my blog if I did. I love watching people with creative outfits and even more the reaction of other people towards those outfits. Some of my girlfriends did their make up at MAC and I love their colors.
Here are some pics from the venue:

Events: Chic Boutique Tour
Who would have known that shopping soiree on wheels could be so much fun? The experience with Chic Boutique Tour, owned and operated by the lovely Rosalynn Wilson, is not your average shopping experience. In the span of five hours, we had the pleasure to visit five of the best Atlanta boutiques and stores, enjoy a variety of noshes and cocktails, socialize and network, watch a movie, take a break between shopping locations, and make new friends.
Here is why you should experience the Chic Boutique Tour for yourself:
- It addresses the needs of ladies of all shapes, tastes, sizes, level of addiction (spend a whole check vs a portion of it), fetish (shoes vs garments)
- You literally get pampered - you get to relax during a lavish executive bus ride around Atlanta, enjoy a movie and a great food and drink service by the gorgeous male staff of Chic Boutique Tour.
- You get to shop at a 20% discount in all of the participating boutiques
- A number of giveaways will keep you on your toes through the whole trip. Some of the fashionistas on our tour will indulge in a one-hour message from Message Envy, a free Shop Your Closet service from A Clothes Encounter, a free pedicure from Pampered Nail and Body Spa...
- We also had a professional stylist, the talented Kaira Akita with A Clothes Encounter, give us advice on the latest trends and styles.
- Shop at some of the best boutiques in Atlanta - the names speak of themselves - Off Broadway Shoes, Coposhi, Merino, Fab'rik, Plush Boutique, Wine Shoe.
The Tour ended with a wine tasting session at the Wine Shoe store. I had the pleasure to visit this store a couple of months ago and was excited to go back and replenish my wine supply. This time, I chose a red wine - Italo Cescon Pinot Nero Veneto.
I can't wait for the next tour and I hope it coincides with my mom's visit to the US.
